From the landscape
I remember seeing a painting by Van Gogh of grass, as if lit by the head lights of a car, all vertical strokes which you would see as flat patches of green in the daylight, but in the dark, it shows the energy of everything shooting upwards against gravity. Paint can be used to show movements in the landscape like the sky dripping into the land, as rain does. These are not images of the landscape, more about the living landscape.
