Things (marks) can go in any direction. These go down, pulled by gravity back to earth like rain. Because there are just colour marks I was aware of the small changes and the reactions with each other. There is little else to deal with. Limiting again seems to expand. They could be seen as just like a wallpaper but there is no pattern and any that does exist is at the moment you stop the painting
On asking a friend why he liked these paintings, the answer was, “There is no real subject matter so there is nothing much to judge, no opinion to be given. Therefore I drift into the picture with my senses rather than my brain. This has a calming meditative effect.” As always there is the painting, then the observer, who must engage for there to be any communication.
